My partner is 9 months post op. from cushing syndrome where one of the glands was removed. Last week we had a test and the cortisol level was lower than in the previous test. Does anyone has experience with this? She is pretty devastated but Im wondering if it can still improve? The endoc. weaned her off pills pretty fast around 3-6 months post op..

Hi, so she should be about a year post-op at this point….did things get better? Patients don’t usually have the same cortisol reading on every single test after normalization post-surgery, so based on what you said here that is probably not something to be concerned about unless accompanied by symptoms of adrenal insufficiency.
