If my 24 hour urine test for free cortisol is over 100 mcg and I’ve gained 70 lbs over a 18 month period, can I lose weight if I eat healthy and exercise. I get impression that even if I eat healthy and exercise, I will not be able to lose weight.

Do you have a confirmed Cushing’s diagnosis? In the presence of a cortisol-secreting tumor, it is almost always very difficult to lose (or even maintain) weight. However, the best advice we could give on this subject would be to do the best you could to maintain a healthy diet and some sort of exercise that you enjoy or that at least doesn’t hurt you, even if you see the numbers on the scale increasing and it seems pointless. You may be able to minimize the detrimental effects if you are not providing so many calories to your body and doing what you can to keep your muscles stretched and active.
