Cushing’s and Depression

Question: Is there any explanation as to why some with Cushing’s get really depressed while others don’t seem to be as bothered by depression?

Answer: The relationship between Cushing’s and depression is a subject of current research. The increased susceptibility to depression in patients with Cushing’s may depend on genetic factors as evidence by a family history of depression or other psychiatric diseases and on the patients’ own psychiatric history that may make them more susceptible to depression.
